Never underestimate a walk, if you’re moving your body you’re burning calories, a brisk walk you can burn 3-5 calories a minute, thats real talk. If your feeling more wound up challenge yourself in a group fitness class, get out of your comfort zone, this is how we grow, our minds and our muscles.

Hello Everyone,

Here we are February,2,2012, How does it feel? into the second month of the year?

well I know its feeling good for some of my clients. This week I am doing a lot of measurements. It can be an exciting time for some and stressful for others.
Stressful because you are being held accountable for your homework (the Client) when my clients are training with me they are burning calories and building muscle, this is only one hour out of a 24 hour day or 18 awake hours, so when you leave the training session you have to eat good and get in some cardiovascular training (THE HOMEWORK).
When I am training we are talking about nutrition, what they have eaten that day, over the weekend, reminding, reminding.

I am reminding Every client that depending on goals you have got to do some homework, and that is eating clean and every 2-3 hours depending on how much they are moving in a day.

I am proud of the numbers this week. I always have a Gold star in the measurements that I do throughout the month, and I have one this week for sure. He has lost 8 pounds and numbers are down ALL around (no pun intended) I am so proud! He has been cooking his food at home more, riding his bike. This is the homework that WILL GET YOU RESULTS! He has put in the work and has gotten results! I am so proud of you and you know who you are. Nice Job!

I feel like a broken record with clients reminding them about eating and moving around on their own. I think thats what it takes we need to hear things over and over and over before we can really begin to un-do old behavior.

We want to treat our body’s like a Bentley, we would not put cheap gas in a Bentley. Our bodies really do run like a machine, when we eat every 2-3 hours it keeps our engine running smooth, it keeps our basil metabolic rate up, whats that? its how we burn calories without moving, its our engine running without us moving our bodies and using our muscles, like when we are sleeping and sitting, because when we are moving, walking, running, biking, housework, picking up our children we are burning calories, so when we raise our metabolic rate we are burning much more.

Remember to drink water all day every day. squeeze a little lemon it it also, so good for our liver, that little organ that does so much.

Ace Morgan is a certified Professional Fitness Trainer with 5 ½ years experience helping people from all walks of life and at all fitness levels achieve their fitness goals. Ace offers one-to-one as well as group training. His clients are people of all ages and include, stay at home moms, business and non-profit professionals, acrobats, artists and more. Ace helps you get fit and maintain your fitness through core and flexibility training. Ace also offers a focus on muscle imbalance correction, an important part of his work and a key to you achieving a stronger, healthier body. Fresh! White is a CTI Trained, Co-Active Coach and member of the ICF. Fresh! has been coaching for more than 3 years and will finish certification over the next several weeks. Hello Everyone!

I want to talk about water.

We need it, all day from the time we wake up to the time we go to sleep, you can drink a gallon or more a day, the key here is through out the day, you do not want to drink to much at once.  Clients will chug down a big bottle of water  during our workout and get a stomach ache, sipping during your workout is best.

Try squeezing lemon in your water, why?

  2. Good for your skin
  3. Acts as a blood purifier
  4. Helps reduce fever
  5. Liver cleanser

gym/home workouts

Hello Everyone!

what a day here in the bay area, wow I feel lucky! the sun is shining and I feel grateful.

I just want to talk a little bit about home workouts vs. “the gym” they both get it done I do know this, so mix it up weather its outside or inside you can work up a sweat, build muscle, increase core strength.

Gym machines can be a bit clunky,  they  take a minute to get set up to your body type and anatomically they just don’t fit all body’s.   I encourage you to mix up your workouts with cable’s and body weight workouts. Swiss ball, jumping rope, bands, these things you can take outside or do in your house. clunky machines are getting more outdated “old school” style of training.

Remember to enjoy yourself this IS YOUR life so make it a long and healthy one.
